2

Sign in to Critics Room

Connect Critics Room when prompted. Sign in with Google or your email so ChatGPT can save reviews to your Critics Room profile.

3

Start chatting

Tell ChatGPT what you watched—for example, “Help me review Arrival.” It can help you draft a review, then save it to Critics Room when you ask.

For Medium reasoning, choose Medium in ChatGPT's model menu before sending your message.

How it works

Once connected, just chat with ChatGPT

About a movie you watched. Try either approach:

Start a conversation about a movie

"I just watched The Mummy, let's review it!"

Or save a quick review directly

"Save my review of Interstellar"

ChatGPT will ask you a few questions about the movie, write a review in your voice, and save it to your account. Your reviews will appear on criticsroom.com where you can view, edit, and share them.

Connector details

Connecting another MCP client

Critics Room is a remote MCP server. Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP can connect to it with the details below—the same server ChatGPT and Claude use.

MCP endpoint
https://criticsroom.com/mcp
Transport
Streamable HTTP. POST only; the server does not open an SSE stream (GET and DELETE return 405).
Authentication
OAuth 2.1 authorization code with PKCE (S256 is required). Clients may register dynamically at /register; scope is mcp.
Discovery
/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server
Account
Free. The connect flow opens a Critics Room sign-in page: Google, X, or email and password, with a Sign Up button for a new account.
What it saves
Reviews are saved to that Critics Room account. They are public on the user's profile by default, and can be saved or changed to private.

Clients that call REST instead of MCP can use the same account and OAuth flow through the OpenAPI description at criticsroom.com/openapi.json.
