Using Critics Room

Critics Room is a service for writing, organizing, and sharing movie and TV reviews. You may use it through our website or through a compatible client such as ChatGPT, Codex, or Claude. By creating an account, connecting the plugin, or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Your account and authorized clients

• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
• When you connect an AI client, you authorize that client to use the disclosed Critics Room tools for your account. The client can read or change only data permitted by your scoped connection and each tool's behavior.
• Review posting, editing, visibility changes, and deletion can affect content on your public Critics Room profile. Review the preview and the client's confirmation notice before approving an action.
• You can disconnect the plugin to revoke its current OAuth grant.

Your content

• You retain ownership of the reviews you write. By making content public, you grant Critics Room a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate the service, including public pages, feeds, search results, sitemaps, and social previews.
• You are responsible for what you submit. Do not post unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, abusive, or privacy-violating content.
• We may restrict or remove content that violates these terms, applicable law, or the rights and safety of others.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• Access or attempt to access another user's private data, tokens, drafts, or account.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or bypass the service's security or rate limits.
• Upload malware, automate abusive traffic, or misuse the service for fraud or unlawful activity.
• Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or ownership of content.

Third-party services

Critics Room works with service providers and compatible AI clients. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply. Movie and TV metadata is supplied using the TMDB API; Critics Room is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, X, and TMDB do not own or operate Critics Room.

Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or permanent storage. We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be identified by the date on this page.

Suspension, termination, and deletion

We may suspend access for violations of these terms or security risks. You can delete individual reviews at any time and request full account deletion by emailing contact@criticsroom.com. Account-deletion requests are completed within 30 days, subject to limited legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
